A Dubai evening desert safari with BBQ dinner costs AED 62 to AED 110 on Headout, Tiqets and GetYourGuide. What is included and what costs extra.

A Dubai evening desert safari with a BBQ dinner costs from AED 62 on Headout and AED 102.60 on Tiqets, both with hotel pickup (checked 2 November 2026). Headout also lists AED 45 and GetYourGuide AED 110, but neither is a clean comparison. Headout’s page says pickup comes only with selected options, and GetYourGuide’s lowest price is probably a shorter trip without dinner. Klook has no safari in our data.
There is no official operator, so there is no official price to beat. Many companies run similar trips, and the price depends on what is inside.
Desert safari prices: how the sellers compare
Prices are per person, the lowest each seller showed. Reseller prices change, so trust the live table further down this page over any figure written here.
| Offer | Seller | From | What the listing says |
|---|---|---|---|
| Evening safari, BBQ buffet, live shows | Headout | AED 45 | Dune bashing, sandboarding, camel ride, three shows. Pickup only in selected options. Low confidence |
| Budget evening safari, 6 hours | Headout | AED 62 | AC 4x4 pickup and drop-off, unlimited BBQ buffet, live shows |
| Budget desert safari activities | Tiqets | AED 70 | Dune bashing, camel ride, sandboarding. Dinner is an option, so the lowest price may exclude it |
| Sandboarding, dune bashing and BBQ dinner, 6 hours | Tiqets | AED 102.60 | Hotel pickup and drop-off, camel ride, BBQ buffet, shows, henna, soft drinks |
| Two popular safaris | GetYourGuide | AED 110 | Dinner and camp only with the 7-hour option. Quad bike only if picked |
Headout also lists a Red Dunes safari at AED 91, a VIP seating version at AED 126 and a quad bike version at AED 156. Go City values a BBQ dinner safari at USD 92.58, about AED 340, with booking by phone, WhatsApp or email.
What a standard evening safari includes
Visit Dubai describes a typical shared trip: pickup from your hotel in a 4x4, dune driving, then a desert camp with refreshments and activities such as camel rides, falconry, henna and sandboarding. It tells you to check what is included. The BBQ listings add a buffet dinner and live shows: Tanoura, fire and belly dance.
Usually extra: a quad bike, VIP seating, a private vehicle, alcohol, photos and tips. Headout’s AED 62 page sells a 30-minute quad ride and a private 4x4 as paid add-ons, and shares the vehicle by default.
Why cheap offers differ
- Pickup: the Tiqets ticket includes hotel pickup from Dubai, Sharjah or Ajman, with drop-off between 21:00 and 21:30. Headout’s AED 62 page limits pickup to specific areas of Dubai. Headout’s AED 45 page ties pickup to the option you choose.
- Dune drive: Headout’s AED 62 page says 15 minutes in Awir or 30 minutes in Lahbab, and is inconsistent about which desert you get. Tiqets gives no length.
- Drinks: Headout’s AED 62 page lists unlimited soft drinks, Arabic coffee and tea. Tiqets lists soft drinks and water. Alcohol is excluded on Headout’s AED 45 page and on the GetYourGuide listings.
- Cancellation: Headout’s AED 62 and Tiqets’ AED 102.60 pages both allow free cancellation up to 24 hours before.
Timings
Visit Dubai says a safari lasts about five to seven hours. Evening pickups run from 3pm to 4pm, and you are back by 9pm to 10pm. The desert is 30 to 45 minutes from pickup. In winter the sun sets at about 17:30, so the dune drive and sunset photos come early in the trip.
Health, age and Ramadan
- Dune bashing: Headout’s AED 62 page rules out pregnant women, wheelchair users, people with back or heart problems, infants, senior citizens and children aged 3 and under. Gulf News (August 2025) says dune bashing is not advised in pregnancy and suggests camel rides or sunset views instead.
- Children: our data has no child prices, so ask the operator about child fares and car seats. A 2018 Gulf News report said Dubai Tourism rules required certified drivers, child car seats and safety briefings. Ask whether your operator follows them.
- Ramadan: Headout’s AED 62 page says live entertainment is not available in Ramadan, and some shows may be missing on national holidays and Islamic occasions.
- What to wear: Visit Dubai suggests a jacket and trousers for winter evenings, trainers or strapped sandals, and a scarf. Gulf News prefers closed shoes to sandals.
- Safety: book with a reputable company and never drive into the desert yourself.
Go City
Go City includes a BBQ dinner safari by Sahara Adventure Tours on its Explorer, All-Inclusive and Essentials passes. Sellers list similar trips at AED 62 to AED 110, so the pass overvalues it. Check your plan in the Go City pass calculator or read whether the pass is worth it.
How to book it cheapest
- Open the desert safari price table, but do not buy on the headline price.
- Open the listing and check five things: pickup, trip length, dinner, shared or private vehicle, and extras.
- For a safari with dinner and pickup, Headout’s AED 62 and Tiqets’ AED 102.60 are the cleanest comparison.
- Treat AED 45 as unproven until you see the price with pickup.
- Pick the 7-hour GetYourGuide option and look at that price, not AED 110.
- Add quad biking or VIP seating only if you want them.
- Read how Klook, GetYourGuide, Tiqets and Headout compare.

Questions people ask
How much does a Dubai desert safari cost?
On 2 November 2026 an evening safari with a BBQ dinner and hotel pickup started at AED 62 on Headout and AED 102.60 on Tiqets. GetYourGuide showed AED 110 and Headout AED 45, but those need checking: the first is probably a trip without dinner, and the second may not include pickup.
Is the AED 45 desert safari a real price?
It is the price on Headout's listing, which names dune bashing, sandboarding, a camel ride, a BBQ buffet and three shows. But the page says hotel pickup is included only in selected options, so the AED 45 may not cover transport. We rate it low confidence.
What is included in an evening desert safari?
Usually hotel pickup in a 4x4, dune bashing, sandboarding, a camel ride, a camp, a BBQ buffet dinner and live shows. Quad bikes, VIP seating, private vehicles, alcohol and photos are normally extra. Check each listing.
How long is a desert safari?
Visit Dubai says five to seven hours. Evening trips pick up between 3pm and 4pm and return by 9pm to 10pm. The desert is 30 to 45 minutes from pickup.
Is a desert safari safe for pregnant women and small children?
Operators advise against dune bashing for pregnant women, people with back or heart problems and young children. Headout's page excludes children aged 3 and under. Ask for a private or gentler tour without dune driving.
